EviroTECH was established with the purpose of commercializing the UFC19 and its applications to other viruses and bacteria.
EviroTECH is a start-up company and a spinoff of technology invented by Prof. Gerardine G. Botte from Texas Tech University.
Gerardine (Gerri) G. Botte, Ph.D., Founder and Chief Technology Officer of EviroTECH. Gerri is also a Professor and Whitacre Department Chair in Chemical Engineering at Texas Tech University. She is an entrepreneur and technology expert. Dr. Botte has over 21 years of experience in the development of electrochemical processes, with 59 granted patents. She is one of the inventors of the Covid 19 sensor. Dr. Botte has successfully led and executed research projects totaling more than $17 million from a wide variety of private, federal, state sponsors, and non-profit organizations. She has been involved in the scale-up of several electrochemical technologies, their commercialization, and the spin-off of companies.
Robert (Rocky) Mansfield, Chief Operating Officer, EviroTECH. Mr. Mansfield has over 30 years’ experience in designed experiments and statistical analysis, production, product design, and process design, bringing mass-produced products into production and the marketplace. This includes over 20 years’ experience in electrochemistry, metal oxide chemistry, processing at Energizer Battery Co., where he was responsible for such projects as miniature zinc-air batteries and zero mercury miniature watch batteries and zero mercury miniature zinc-air batteries, including product design, process design, and production implementation and over nine years’ experience in nano-crystalline sensors, their design and sol-gel application of the nano-crystalline oxides by spin coating, and spin coating process control. Mr. Mansfield’s experience also includes broader management experience as COO, VP Product Development, and VP Manufacturing for Sensor Development Corporation, VP Product Development E3 Clean Technologies, as well as a small business owner. Mr. Mansfield has participated in 7 SBIR/STTR grants worth over $2.6 million.
Warren J. Wexelman, MD, Medical Director EviroTech, or as he is also known, "The Rockdoc", is a life-long Brooklynite and has been a practicing cardiologist in Brooklyn for over 30 years. At Maimonides Medical Center he served as Associate Chief Medical Officer, Director of Clinical Therapeutics, and Chair of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee for 23 years. He was also the Founding Director of the Cardiac Rehabilitation & Exercise Program. He ran the program for 16 years, and saw it become one of the nation's largest academic cardiac rehabilitation programs.
Dr. Wexelman is presently on the faculty of the NYU Langone School of Medicine and was the President of the American Heart Association in Brooklyn. He has also been the Medical Director for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer NYC since 2002.
Since 1988, Dr. Wexelman has been a software developer using the Alpha Software Platform for development. He is presently the Founding CEO Of AlphaMed DMS Inc. The company is a pioneer in software in application for the management of COVID.
Warren has extensive media experience with numerous appearances on CNN, Good Day NY, NBC and was a regular guest on The Fox series, “Fox on Health”. Warren's critically acclaimed radio show "Second Opinion" aired in New York City 1999-2001. He appeared as "himself” on the reality series "The Big Ang Show” & "The Mob Wives".
Dr. Wexelman is a lifelong musician. His main instruments are piano, keyboard, guitar, and sax. He occasionally takes a break from mending hearts by playing gigs with his band “The Below Average White Band”. They played clubs all over New York and the tristate area.
His other passions are restoring classic cars and enjoying great food!
